December!!!


I can't believe it is December already!!! It feels like 2008 began yesterday. It went so fast, I feel like I missed a couple of months...

I really have to start buying presents. My sister was suggesting I don't buy any, because of the world (and my) difficult economic situation. But I think we gotta help the economy by not stopping buying things, plus we usually give each other one small gift, so none of us should break the bank...

I also want to think about new years resolutions, or better, new years goals. And about all I did this year, which was a lot.


On another front. It's incredible how a job you hate can make life miserable. I remember this time last year, when it was really hard for me to get up in the morning. And I had just started that job! And it just got worse with time.

Now that I have a new job, I can't really say I am happy to wake up early in the morning, but the idea of going to work is not dreadful anymore, it's almost pleasant!

Taking Stock

  After a long hiatus, I decided to start writing again... I don't expect anyone to really be reading, but I just love so much going through my old entries, it's a sort of treasured diary. The image above was taken on April 25th (bank holiday here), during our bike ride at the Aqueducts park in Rome. Such a beautiful day! So much has changed since last time I wrote here, I don't know where to start. So I start by taking stock! Making:  eggplant pesto. As requested by my girl, who loved it last summer. I stopped doing it during the winter, as eggplant were not so good, but husband found some nice ones and as I write they are in the oven. Drinking : water and more water. The sparkling one, thanks! Watching : videos (youtube and instagram) on home and food organizing, fitness, and, of course, makeup. Love Love Love Johnny Ross ! Reading : Minimalism , by Gwyneth Snow. BDIB - Arm Party!

  This is my second time participating in the Bloggers Do it better series.  This time, the theme is " Arm Party ". And I am glad Kristina had this idea, because it pushed me to take out and wear my bangles...  I wore this outfit - it's an exact repetition, so I didn't take pictures.  And here is the arm Party! I bought the six striped bangles during my trip to Corsica, 20 years ago. They are six like the letters that compose my name.The brown one is from a store in Buffalo. The thin one is even older, it's about 25 years old! A classmate gave me a bunch of them (it was the 80's and Madonna was just starting to get famous) and I somehow managed to keep this one through the years. Now I want to start wearing all the other bangles I have, too!
