Things I Love Thursday!



Time for some love... I haven't done this for more than two weeks, but I was having too much fun during the Christmas season to have time to sit a write!

Here is what I am loving today:
  • Wonderful boyfriend, who takes care of me when I get the flu, goes out to buy me magazines, checks my temperature, prepares lunch and dinner and even takes care of my entertainment by choosing a nice DVD to watch after dinner!
  • Shopping! I have been on a shopping ban for so long, due to lack of salary, that I was the happiest girl in the world when I bought my black boots last sat. I have been showing them to everybody since!
  • Walking around Rome during Christmas time. For the first time I went to see the Christmas tree and the Nativity near the St. Peter's Cathedral. I was so excited...
  • Seeing both my cousins on Christmas day. They live pretty far, one of them in London, the other in Venice ('till now, now she's relocating, she doesn't know where yet).
  • 1984 by George Orwell. Much better than I expected (and I had great expectations!). I think it should be mandatory read in school in every country!
Life is REALLY good!

Taking Stock

  After a long hiatus, I decided to start writing again... I don't expect anyone to really be reading, but I just love so much going through my old entries, it's a sort of treasured diary. The image above was taken on April 25th (bank holiday here), during our bike ride at the Aqueducts park in Rome. Such a beautiful day! So much has changed since last time I wrote here, I don't know where to start. So I start by taking stock! Making:  eggplant pesto. As requested by my girl, who loved it last summer. I stopped doing it during the winter, as eggplant were not so good, but husband found some nice ones and as I write they are in the oven. Drinking : water and more water. The sparkling one, thanks! Watching : videos (youtube and instagram) on home and food organizing, fitness, and, of course, makeup. Love Love Love Johnny Ross ! Reading : Minimalism , by Gwyneth Snow. Will need to start applying the suggestions, though! Enjoying : working from home 3 days a week. Makes me even

BDIB - Arm Party!

  This is my second time participating in the Bloggers Do it better series.  This time, the theme is " Arm Party ". And I am glad Kristina had this idea, because it pushed me to take out and wear my bangles...  I wore this outfit - it's an exact repetition, so I didn't take pictures.  And here is the arm Party! I bought the six striped bangles during my trip to Corsica, 20 years ago. They are six like the letters that compose my name.The brown one is from a store in Buffalo. The thin one is even older, it's about 25 years old! A classmate gave me a bunch of them (it was the 80's and Madonna was just starting to get famous) and I somehow managed to keep this one through the years. Now I want to start wearing all the other bangles I have, too!
