Things I Love Thursday.


Time for some gratitude!
This week I am loving...
  • A call from work to tell me tomorrow I am going to sign my new contract. I am so happy!
  • And, related to the above: seeing again all my colleagues. So glad they are all so nice...
  • Weekend in Venice! It was so nice an relaxing, I had a wonderful time walking around the city with my cousin, looking at art, shopping, drinking cocktails and eating sweets..
  • New, totally unnecessary shoes - and wearing them to go nowhere in particular.
  • Playing music. It gets easier and easier, it's such a pleasure...
  • Getting compliments every time I wear my purple skirt. It must have something magic in it!
  • Finishing a really good book - and being sorry it's finished already!
  • The sun, a good pair of shoes, and a green field...
  • And getting a new haircut soon!

Taking Stock

  After a long hiatus, I decided to start writing again... I don't expect anyone to really be reading, but I just love so much going through my old entries, it's a sort of treasured diary. The image above was taken on April 25th (bank holiday here), during our bike ride at the Aqueducts park in Rome. Such a beautiful day! So much has changed since last time I wrote here, I don't know where to start. So I start by taking stock! Making:  eggplant pesto. As requested by my girl, who loved it last summer. I stopped doing it during the winter, as eggplant were not so good, but husband found some nice ones and as I write they are in the oven. Drinking : water and more water. The sparkling one, thanks! Watching : videos (youtube and instagram) on home and food organizing, fitness, and, of course, makeup. Love Love Love Johnny Ross ! Reading : Minimalism , by Gwyneth Snow. Will need to start applying the suggestions, though! Enjoying : working from home 3 days a week. Makes me even

BDIB - Arm Party!

  This is my second time participating in the Bloggers Do it better series.  This time, the theme is " Arm Party ". And I am glad Kristina had this idea, because it pushed me to take out and wear my bangles...  I wore this outfit - it's an exact repetition, so I didn't take pictures.  And here is the arm Party! I bought the six striped bangles during my trip to Corsica, 20 years ago. They are six like the letters that compose my name.The brown one is from a store in Buffalo. The thin one is even older, it's about 25 years old! A classmate gave me a bunch of them (it was the 80's and Madonna was just starting to get famous) and I somehow managed to keep this one through the years. Now I want to start wearing all the other bangles I have, too!
