This week...

...has been insane. I have had so much work I feel like I should spend the whole weekend sleeping:


But I have quite some things to do this weekend:

I'll have to pack for next week's move. Ideally, I'll leave out only the things I'll need this coming week.

I decided to get out a bit of my comfort zone, and go to a party at a colleague's place. This guy is from another department, so mostly it'll be people from his lab - which I know all, but not well. There'll be a couple of people from my lab , luckily. It was not an easy decision, since I don't feel very comfortable in a too crowded enviroment, but I am sure I'll have fun.

If the weather allows, I'll go to the beach tomorrow!

And, I have to make a cake to bring to work on Mon.

Taking Stock

  After a long hiatus, I decided to start writing again... I don't expect anyone to really be reading, but I just love so much going through my old entries, it's a sort of treasured diary. The image above was taken on April 25th (bank holiday here), during our bike ride at the Aqueducts park in Rome. Such a beautiful day! So much has changed since last time I wrote here, I don't know where to start. So I start by taking stock! Making:  eggplant pesto. As requested by my girl, who loved it last summer. I stopped doing it during the winter, as eggplant were not so good, but husband found some nice ones and as I write they are in the oven. Drinking : water and more water. The sparkling one, thanks! Watching : videos (youtube and instagram) on home and food organizing, fitness, and, of course, makeup. Love Love Love Johnny Ross ! Reading : Minimalism , by Gwyneth Snow. BDIB - Arm Party!

  This is my second time participating in the Bloggers Do it better series.  This time, the theme is " Arm Party ". And I am glad Kristina had this idea, because it pushed me to take out and wear my bangles...  I wore this outfit - it's an exact repetition, so I didn't take pictures.  And here is the arm Party! I bought the six striped bangles during my trip to Corsica, 20 years ago. They are six like the letters that compose my name.The brown one is from a store in Buffalo. The thin one is even older, it's about 25 years old! A classmate gave me a bunch of them (it was the 80's and Madonna was just starting to get famous) and I somehow managed to keep this one through the years. Now I want to start wearing all the other bangles I have, too!
